Christmas Production

In our school play I was playing the part of a parent my lines were ( I don't believe it my Megan's playing an Angel too how about that my own little angel is an angel I'm so proud I don't ..... I can't ...  )
And I sang a solo with nafisa, Aisha and sumayya we sang the first verse the dinner ladies sang the second verse and the T.A sang the third verse and I really enjoyed it. My favorite part was the dinner lady scene because they we're wear in wigs and pretending to ladies!! I enjoy all of our Christmas play.

In our school play I was on the left-hand side. I was in the chorus line, one thing I enjoyed is that my brother had fake glasses a tie and a beard.

What's happening in Year 5

This week Year 5 welcomed their new teacher Mr Kerrigan, and a new TA Mr Walker. They also welcomed back Mrs Shahid. We are all very much looking forward to working hard together for the rest of the school year.

This week in Year 5:

ICT Week - We spent time learning how to design and create games using Espresso. We developed some very professional backgrounds and some interesting gameplay. We showed our work in the Sharing Assembly; Hamzah received a special mention for his ingenious Dinosaur Burger game and Aisha was praised for her impressive game design.

Fair trade fortnight - We watched a video clip about Fairtrade's 'Fair Play' policy. We saw how many people are involved in the Fairtrade process and that all of them benefit from it. We designed 'Fairtrade is ...' slogans and linked the words and images that we used.

This is the video we watched - paste it into your browser to view.

Literacy - We look at a painting by Renoir, 'Bal de moulin de la Galette'. We imagined what the people in the picture we feeling and doing. We discussed what might have happened to them just before and just after the painting. We role-played these ideas to help us to write descriptions of our chosen characters.

Upcoming events:

Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th March - Bikeability

12 children will be put thought their paces on cycling road craft, bike safety and maintenance and cycling skills. Children taking part need to bring their bicycle to school both days, along with a helmet if they have one and suitable clothing for riding bikes in.
